About The Gentle Flute
The Gentle Flute's belief is that every flute journey is equally valuable and important. Whether that journey is starting with assembling a flute for the first time, or is culminating in the navigation of a Mozart Concerto (or anything in between) then The Gentle Flute believes that all these journeys have something important in common: they are about making and sharing the beautiful music of the flute. Sharing these journeys in a friendly and supportive environment, and so helping flute players achieve their goals - no matter what those goals might be - is the reason The Gentle Flute exists.
The Gentle Flute offers flute tutoring from beginner to intermediate levels. Sessions are at your home or online, and are either 30, 45 or 60 minutes per week, depending on individual needs. Music theory is also offered in support of students who choose to sit AMEB exams, where minimum theory standards are required. Whilst exams are a great way of supporting progress and development as musicians, doing so is not required at The Gentle Flute - if you want to have lessons because you just love playing in a no-stress environment you are very welcome. The Gentle Flute tutors all ages because we can all make and share beautiful flute music.
